DISTRICT INDUSTRY CENTRE

The role of banking institutions cannot be underestimated in the functioning of District Industries Centre. There are some schemes specially seed/Margin Scheme and self employment to the Educated Un-Employed Youth or PMRY which cannot be implemented without Banks. The two main banking institutions of the district are the United Commercial Bank, Bishnupur Branch, the United Bank of India, Moirang Branch. And besides these National Banks , there are  also other banks like, the Manipur State Co-Operative Bank at Nambol and Bishnupur Branch, Rural bank of India at Nambol, Kwakta and Kumbi Branch, Moirang Primary Co-Operative Bank Ltd., Moirang which are actively taking part in soldering the responsibilities in the development works of the district.
